Overview

A long-term partnership that has seen Fourth Floor support this indie smash-hit from early access right through to post launch DLC.

  • Fourth Floor have implemented a number of creative IRL activations to ensure the game stays relevant during key beats and DLC releases.

  • This partnership also utilises the full breadth of Fourth Floor services, ensuring ease and a consistency of work throughout.

The Challenge

Powerwash Simulator had a dedicated but gradually waning organic PC fanbase. With each major update we needed to reinvigorate the existing fandom while introducing the game to fans on new platforms.

  • A long early access period meant that many players had moved on by the initial full launch.

  • At each phase of the partnership we had to spark new interest, create hype, and bring in new fans.

  • To make a splash, a creative solution beyond just gameplay exposure was required for each stage.

Our Approach

Support each phase of the campaign with a tentpole stream, bringing big name creators together to create something unique for their audiences.

  • We used creators who were already fans of the franchise, but hadn’t played for some time. This resulted in re-engaging lapsed players while expanding into new audiences.

  • Full in-house production support used to create the activations and video assets.

  • Audience competitions and exclusive first-looks and reveals ensured the content was fresh and engaging.

Identifying Key Tentpole Creators

Fourth Floor identified trendsetters within the simulation and cosy gaming spheres.

Budget was allocated to activate these influential creators across Twitch, YouTube and TikTok at key moments.

Earned

Generating Free Launch Content

Earned direct outreach was used to target over 1,500 creators globally, and a key distribution campaign ensured frictionless access for new creators, looking to get onboard whenever the game was trending.

Gifting

Rewarding Most Engaged Creators

90 gift boxes were distributed to creators over the globe generating organic awareness and promoting long-term brand loyalty.


RESULTS

Using a powerful combination of paid, earned and gifting, our work with Powerwash Simulator has created over 200 pieces of Twitch and YouTube content to date producing millions of views and well over 250m total Twitch hours streamed and viewed.
